It is vital that a child learn to use our tails within a comfortable and shallow depth of water and under adult supervision. To use a monofin (a single flipper that encloses both feet) the swimmer must be experienced in performing what is termed a dolphin or butterfly kick. This can be learned quickly, but again with supervision. Swimmers age 5 or younger should probably not use a tail with a monofin, but we leave that choice to individual parents depending on the child's ability known to the parents. We encourage parents to use their best judgment to decide if your child is ready for one of our tails and monofins. Our premium fabric is holographic and not suited to being used roughly on pool surfaces or concrete. Please be aware that scrapping material on these surfaces will most likely cause damage.
