What do i do when my child has a messy accident in their diaper. If your little one messes this swim diaper, just shake the contents into a toilet. Squirt hand soap onto the fleece side of the diaper and scrub, preferably rubbing the diaper against itself.

Rinse well in the sink. Use warm water for a final rinse, wring dry, and snap it back on your baby for more water fun.

Is one diaper enough per child. That depends on how comfortable you are cleaning up after your child if they mess their diaper. If you would rather not deal with it at the beach or pool, then you would need at least two diapers per child. Just take a ziplock baggie with you to the pool to contain the messy diaper until you get home. Or if you are going to the pool every day, you may find that you want two or three so they can be adequately cleaned and dry between uses.
